Freestyle, or disco, is an extremely popular dance style which is danced to current popular music. Freestyle can be danced alone, in pairs, trios or even as a team. While Freestyle is not a social dance style the class atmosphere certainly is and many Freestyle dancers take medal tests or compete!
Salsa
Over the past few years Salsa and other forms of what has become known as Club Latin have enjoyed widespread popularity and are now commonly danced up and down the country as a form of social dance.
Latin
Latin is a popular form of social partner dance which is very popular indeed. Latin is somewhat more "upbeat" than the Ballroom rhythms and covers:
Cha-cha-cha
Samba
Rumba
Paso-Doble
Jive
Ballroom and Latin American are the 2 staple forms of social dance across much of the world and a basic knowledge of these 2 disciplines is bound to impress at any wedding or dinner dance!
Ballroom
Ballroom is a style of partner dance that largely developed during the first half of the 20th century. it is a classic form of social dance that includes:
Waltz
Tango
Foxtrot
Quickstep
Viennesse Waltz
Ballroom is classy, stylish and elegant and is a must for any social dancer!
Cheerleading
Cheerleading can be danced to current chart music or to a medley of songs with or without the use of pom poms. This is mainly danced within a team to create an atmosphere and includes high energy movements, cheers and chants. Medal tests can be taken in this dancestyle but prepare to be loud and bouncy.
